Hike (4)

I sat to catch my breath. The climb was hard, the muscles in my forearms were tense.
I looked down into the valley, different people were walking toward the viewpoint.
I saw an old couple passing a young trio and smiled.
It happened often to me too when I went walking. I learned to not underestimate the habitual walkers.
The trio separated shortly after, and I saw them taking different paths.
I tried to imagine the stories of these people, what pushed them to do this hike.
"I wonder how many more stories are happening around me."
